FruitLens: on-device fruit recognition and nutrition lookup

FruitLens points your device's camera at fruit and, without sending anything anywhere, finds and names what's in frame in real time. It can pick out several fruits in the same shot, box each one, and show nutrition facts per 100 grams for whichever one you select. No camera handy? Upload a photo instead, or try one of the built-in demo scenes.

Everything runs on your device, in your browser. No photo or video frame is ever uploaded to a server, and there is nothing to install — FruitLens loads its detection and classification models locally, using your GPU through WebGPU where it's available and falling back to WebAssembly (WASM) where it isn't.

Nutrition figures come from the USDA's FoodData Central, with regional nutrition tables filling in for a few of the less common fruit that FoodData Central doesn't cover. FruitLens is made by Jason Hee.
